Roberts Bio

Craig Roberts is in his second season on Coach Richter's staff at Lakeville North.

In his role, Roberts handles media requests, compiles statistics, works with event management, and provides administrative support.

He has worked on the sports information staffs at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Minnesota State, Mankato, and the University of Minnesota as well as serving as the assistant commissioner for public relations with College Hockey America for three years and the sports information director at Macalester College for one year.

Roberts has been involved in the planning and management of three NCAA Frozen Fours, an NCAA Final Four, the 1998 World Figure Skating Championships and the 2001 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championship. In addition, he has staffed two NCAA Division II Volleyball Championships and a number of Regional Championships.

During his time at the University of Minnesota (1997-2001), he served as the secondary public address announcer for volleyball and spent six years handling many of his current duties at both Benilde-St. Margaret's and Coon Rapids High Schools.

A native of Ashland, Wis., where he was a 1985 graduate of Ashland High School, Roberts attended UW-Stevens Point before completing his bachelor's degree in mass communication at Minnesota State in 1997.

In addition to his duties with the Panther volleyball program, Roberts also works with the boys' hockey program at Benilde-St. Margaret's and is a member of the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association’s executive board, serving as the organization’s communications director.

He is also a highly-sought after freelance statistician, who works numerous events throughout the year in all sports. 

Roberts earned his bachelor's degree in mass communication, minoring in technical writing, from Minnesota State, Mankato, in 1997. He is a resident of Inver Grove Heights. He is an office administrator for Housing Hub in St. Paul and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
