North moves onto Section 1AAA semifinals.

LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- Lakeville North executed in all phases of the game and the ninth-ranked Panthers advanced to the Section 1AAA semifinals with a 25-16, 25-17, 26-24 win.

Despite falling behind in all three sets, North calmly rebounded as its back row proved steady, getting the ball to setter Amanda Burger, who in turn was able to distribute the ball effectively.

The Panthers committed just two receiving errors in 47 chances with Halle Wolfe going 24-for-25 and Elizabeth Juhnke going 19-for-20.  Wolfe also added a match-high 12 digs.

Three North hitters reached double figures in kills, with Kennedy Brady leading the way with 14. Arianna Barrett had 12 kills and a team-best .444 hitting percentage while Juhnke recorded 10 kills.

Burger topped the .500 mark in setting for the third time this season and first time in nearly a month as 34 of her 65 sets resulted in kills.

The victory also gives the Panthers their first 20-win season under head coach Jackie Richter in three season.

Next up for North is Thursday's section semifinal match at second-seeded Rochester Century (26-1). First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at Century High School.

Kennedy Brady's 14 kills and 15 points led Lakeville North.
