One word comes to mind when discussing the Class 3A Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association poll this fall: parity. The top spot has been tossed about like a hot potato since Chaska began the year ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll.
Losses caused a change at the top in each of the first three weeks of the season until Eden Prairie settled in at No. 1. The Eagles have held onto that spot for two weeks, even after losing to Hopkins in the Eagle Invitational finals Sept. 20 at Apple Valley High School.
Will a second loss to the Royals cause the Eagles to lose their grip on the top spot? The rematch is Thursday in Hopkins and our Top Game of the Week.
