Lakeville South's win tonight was due in large part to their strong offense run by Maddie Johnston and Jade Tingelhoff. In addition, the Cougars had a consistent night of serving that kept the Lakers on their toes.

Tonight's game was the first for junior Jade Tingelhoff, who effortlessly adpated back into the usual lineup and offense for the Cougars. She had ten total set assists for the match, falling short right behind Johnston with eleven. Jenny Mosser remained the top attack attempt leader with eleven attempts in the match.

The Cougar's total service attempts and consistency stood out as a main factor that contributed to their victory. With a sum of 56 total service attempts, this was an all-time high. Distinctive leaders of the match were Sammi Kremer with 15 service attempts, Halle Johnston with 10, and Ciara Nervick who was able to serve seven in a row in the third game for the Cougars.

Necessary to any win is great teammwork, something the Cougars take very seriously and was evident tonight as you could see the chemistry on the court. Says senior co-captain Ashley Pratt, "Volleyball is not an individual sport, you play for the girl standing next to you on the court. You're just as important when you're not in the game by leading the team to victory on the side line."

Lakeville South's next game is Thursday, September 12 at Prior Lake. Minneapolis Southwest's next game is away on Thursday, facing Cretin- Derham Hall.
