At their first home game of the season, Lakeville South Cougars lost to Chaska (3-0). Cougars kept close in each of the games but ultimately fell by scores of 24-26, 20-25, and 23-25.

Chaska's high tempo game included a strong offense featuring middle hitter Sarah Kelly. The majority of Chaska's kills were scored by Kelly, who remained consistent throughout all three games.

Key players for the Cougars were Maddie Johnston, senior captain, who had a total of 12 set assists to the main hitters of the night, Jenny Mosser and Ciara Nervick.

Chaska's next game is Thursday opposing neighboring rival Chanhassen. Cougars now drop to 1-1, and next week they will host both Tartan and Eden Prairie.
