Heidi Ulwelling placed a call to the Red Wing activities office several months ago inquiring about the type of activities the school offered as she and her family prepared to move to Red Wing. Through the course of the conversation with Activities Director Matt Schultz, Ulwelling mentioned she coached volleyball and Schultz said he had a head coach vacancy following Neal Newman’s resignation. A few months later Ulwelling accepted the position.
