We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Northfield vs. Prior Lake, 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 4. Prior Lake is more dangerous than it's 7-10 overall record indicates. The Lakers (3-1 in South Suburban Conference matches) have played a brutal schedule, with losses to ranked teams such as Chaska (twice), Canby, Eagan, Marshall and Champlin Park. Prior Lake, meanwhile, can avenge an early season loss to No. 10-4A Northfield (11-4, 4-0).
