A year after being swept in the quarterfinals, third-seed Andover (27-5) swept its way into the semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Cretin-Derham Hall (24-6).
It wasn’t the most sound match coach Connie Huberty has seen, but she’ll take it.
“We only have four girls on the team that have been here and it was evident we had some nerves,” she said. “We just had to adjust. When you’re nervous, you think about things too much. Once they calmed down a little bit, we got into our flow.”
Karlie Hauer had a match-high 18 kills in the victory.
