We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Mankato West vs. Austin, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. Austin (7-2, 2-1) won just six of 91 conference matches from 2011 through 2018 but takes an improved record and squad into this Big 9 Conference matchup versus Mankato West (7-6, 5-1).

Lakeville North vs. Shakopee, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26. No. 4-3A Lakeville North (13-3, 3-0) has the advantage in the South Suburban Conference race but it brings a two-game losing streak into the week as it prepares to take on No. 7-3A Shakopee (12-4, 3-2), which has the advantage of home court.

Nova Classical Academy vs. Concordia Academy, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26. Nova Classical Academy (14-5, 4-0) has a chance to steal the lead in the Skyline Conference standings from No. 5-2A Concordia Academy (13-2, 4-0).

Wayzata vs. Hopkins, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26. A talented but young Hopkins (5-7, 0-2) team broke a five-match losing streak over the weekend but No. 3-3A Wayzata (15-2, 2-0) has beaten all of its opponents except No. 2-3A Northfield.
