The Swanville Bulldogs volleyball season kicked off Sept. 1 with a road match against the Isle Huskies. Last season, the girls also opened their season against Isle and took the match 3-0.
This season, the Huskies would give the Bulldogs much better competition, forcing them to play four games. However, the Bulldogs would end up holding on to win 3-1 (25-10, 25-18, 25-27, 26-24).
Molly Jordan led the offensive attack, finishing with 12 kills. Marissa Evans and Ashley Peterson finished with 9 and 8, respectively.
Jordan put in a fine performance across the board. In addition to her 12 kills, she also finished with five ace serves, and 10 set assists. Evans led the way with 13 set assists on the night. Brittany Poegel led the team with six digs.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished 91% serving on the night.
