Janessa Berrios, Watertown-Mayer. Berrios ranks fourth in the state for kills (264) and was productive last week as she helped the Royals earn two more wins. Berrios recorded 16 kills with 17 digs and two aces in a 3-1 win over Norwood-Young America on Sept. 25. She notched 14 kills (with zero errors), 17 digs and four aces in a win over Mound Westonka two days later.

Julia Hanson, Prior Lake. The star freshman leads her team in kills with 214, and she helped the Lakers earn wins over South Suburban Conference foes Burnsville (3-0 on Sept. 25) and Apple Valley (3-0 on Sept. 27). Hanson tallied 16 kills in both victories and added 10 more in a loss to Minnetonka, No. 6 in the Class 3A coaches' poll, on Sept. 24.

Ella Haugen, Edina. The Hornets went 4-2 last week, earning a win over Lake Conference rival Hopkins before going 3-1 in the Blaine Tournament. Haugen played a big part in the effort, as she racked up a combined 167 assists. She finished with 35 in the 3-0 win over Hopkins on Sept. 27 and tacked on 25 in a tournament finale win over Greenway. Her 578 assists rank fourth in the state.

Brooke Weichbrodt, Concordia Academy. Weichbrodt helped the No. 4-2A Beacons go 6-0 last week while winning a tournament championship in Blaine. The sophomore setter had 25 assists, four aces, five digs and two assisted blocks in a 2-0 win Saturday over Blaine. She then tallied 22 assists, nine digs, two blocks and two aces in a tournament finale win over No. 10-3A North St. Paul.
