We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Eden Prairie vs. Hopkins, 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17. It’s proving time for both Lake Conference teams — Hopkins (1-5, 0-2) was ranked in the preseason and has one of the state’s more dangerous hitters in Anna Erickson. Eden Prairie played in a section final a year ago but has struggled, sitting at 4-5 overall with a 1-3 conference record.

Roseville vs. East Ridge, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20. Roseville is off to a 3-0 start in a rebound year, and can make an early statement with a win at No. 8-3A East Ridge (5-5) which looks to repeat as Suburban East champion.

Prior Lake at Northfield, 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17. Prior Lake (4-6, 0-2) has played eight matches against teams that were ranked at one point this season. Now the Lakers can add Northfield (7-2, 2-0) to that list. The No. 10-3A Raiders look to gain momentum after going 3-2 since Saturday, Sept. 8.
