And the winner is...MN Volleyball Hub top performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Oct. 17-22.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Volleyball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Ash McClellan, Centennial. The senior setter highlighted the Cougars’ offense in road wins last week against Roseville and Elk River. At Roseville on Oct. 17, McClellan delivered 26 set assists in the straight-set win. The next night, McClellan recorded 39 set assists as the Cougars defeated Elk River in four. She added eight kills and 12 digs on the week.

Top performer candidates

Brooklyn Dickey, Cambridge-Isanti. A week after defeating Chisago Lakes 3-0 on the road, the Bluejackets won by the same score against the Wildcats at home. The senior setter, who is averaging over 20 set assists per game this season, led the Oct. 18 win with a season-high 38 set assists.

Abby Johnson, Breckenridge. The Cowgirls narrowly defeated Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Oct. 18, playing to a tight five setter. Johnson led the Cowgirls on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, recording 24 kills and 32 digs — both season highs for the senior outside hitter.

Piper Klaas, Minneapolis Southwest. The Lakers held off Edina in four sets on Oct. 17. The junior libero and defensive specialist led the Lakers on defense with 25 digs.

Haley Shea, Minnewaska Area. The junior setter has been a solid presence on the court for the Lakers all season, often leading the team’s offensive attack. Shea recorded 44 set assists in the Lakers’ four-set win at Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta on Oct. 18, marking the fourth time this season she tallied over 40 set assists in a match.
