And the winner is...MN Volleyball Hub top performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Sept. 26-Oct. 1.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Volleyball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Aria Peters, Yellow Medicine East. The Sting’s senior setter, teetering on the edge of top-10 numbers in the state in set assists, added big numbers to her season totals last week. Peters recorded a season-high 47 set assists in the Sting’s 3-2 victory at Ortonville on Sept. 26 and added 10 digs. Over the next two games, Peters added a combined 62 assists and 20 digs. 

Top performer candidates

Avery Bolles, Andover. The senior outside hitter factored into both the offense and defense last week, leading the Huskies in both kills and digs. Bolles tallied 21 kills in each of the Huskies’ matches, adding 23 digs in their 3-1 victory against Elk River and another 34 digs in a five-set loss to Centennial.

Liesl Haugen, Maple Grove. The senior libero and defensive specialist bolstered a defensive match that helped the Crimson defeat Anoka in five sets on Sept. 29. The Crimson held Anoka to just 11 points in the second set and eight in the fifth set. Haugen led the Crimson with an impressive 39 digs.

Teagan Jaynes, Northfield. The sophomore setter led the Raiders to wins last week against Rochester Century and Austin. Jaynes accumulated 48 set assists in the Raiders' 3-2 win against Rochester Century, adding 15 digs. At Austin on Sept. 29, Jaynes tallied 33 set assists in the straight-sets win, bringing her week total to 81 assists.

Ava Siedenburg, Tartan. Siedenburg played an integral part of the Titan’s come-from-behind victory at Hill-Murray on Sept. 27, helping the Titans come back from two sets down. The junior outside hitter contributed a season-high 29 kills, bringing her season total to 210 — good for tenth most in the state.
