And the winner is...MN Volleyball Hub top performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Sept. 19-24.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Volleyball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Lauren Schnettler, Browerville. The junior outside hitter had standout performances against Swanville and Sebeka last week as she factored into both the offense and defense. Schnettler, who is fifth in the state with 201 digs on the season and ninth with 156 kills, contributed 40 of those kills and 59 digs in the Tigers’ two wins last week.

Top performer candidates

Aubrey Daniels, Fillmore Central. After suffering their first two losses of the season a couple weeks ago, the Falcons got back on track with wins against Dover-Eyota and Rushford-Peterson last week. The Falcons’ freshman setter played a key role in the wins, recording 27 set assists in the Falcons’ 3-0 win at Dover-Eyota and 53 set assists in their 3-2 victory against Rushford-Peterson.

Mia Metzger, Park Christian. The Falcons snapped a four-match losing streak on Sept. 22 when they defeated Climax-Fisher in a close five-set affair. The Falcons were led by their junior setter who was effective on both the offense and defense. Metzger totaled 26 digs and dished out 49 set assists in the win.

Alyssa Ramos, St. Paul Highland Park. The Scots rolled to their third straight win when they defeated St. Paul Johnson on Sept. 23. The junior libero served up nine aces and tallied 30 digs to lead the Scots’ victory. Ramos’ 180 digs on the season sits eighth most in the state.

Anya Schmidt, Rogers. The sophomore showed her versatility and had arguably her best performance of the season in the Royals’ five-set win against St. Michael-Albertville on Sept. 19. Schmidt had season highs in kills (21), set assists (30), service aces (8) and digs (16). She followed that win with a solid performance at Elk River on Sept. 21, notching 10 kills, 23 set assists, three service aces and six digs in the win. Schmidt has 56 service aces on the season, second most in the state.
