And the winner is...MN Volleyball Hub top performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Aug. 29-Sept. 3.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Volleyball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Alexa Melcher, Elk River. The senior libero, who is one of the state's leaders in digs with 70, recorded 29 digs en route to the Elks’ Aug. 30 victory against Sartell-St. Stephen. The Elks won in five sets. Melcher then tallied 17 digs in the Elks' straight sets win at Buffalo on Sept. 1.

Top performer candidates

Maddy Benka, Minnehaha Academy. The Redhawks enjoyed a pair of victories this week at St. Croix Prep and Minneapolis Roosevelt. The junior, who is one of the state's leaders in kills this season with 78, tallied 50 kills and 25 digs this past week. 

Georgia Hoffman, Breck. Hoffman posted standout performances in each of the Mustang's three wins this past week. Hoffman helped Breck edge Spectrum and St. Anthony in five sets and Brooklyn Center in four. The sophomore totaled 65 assists, 13 aces and 16 digs on the week.

Ellie Mustar, Mahtomedi. The Zephyrs defeated St. Paul Como Park and St. Paul Highland Park last week, highlighted by Mustar’s performances. The senior setter recorded 36 assists and 11 digs against Como Park on Aug. 30, followed by a 28-assist, 10-dig night against Highland Park on Sept. 1.

Grace Tverberg, Concordia Academy. The Beacons opened last week with a victory in four sets against Hill-Murray on Aug. 30. The sophomore setter recorded an impressive 46 assists in the win. In the Beacons' loss to Roseville on Sept. 1, Tverberg tallied 28 assists.
