Top games: Veteran Shakopee, Eagan coaches hope to cook up formula for success in rematch

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.



Other games to keep an eye on

East Ridge vs. Woodbury, 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5. No. 6-3A East Ridge (7-0, 7-0) has swept all of its opponents, including an Oct. 23 triumph over intracity rival Woodbury (5-2, 5-2). The Royals’ only other loss this season was to Stillwater.

Randolph vs. Mabel-Canton, 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5. Senior Kenidi McCabe registered her 3,000th career assist for perennial powerhouse No. 4-1A Mabel-Canton (7-0, 6-0) in a 3-0 sweep of Houston on Oct. 31. Randolph (4-1, 3-1) suffered its lone loss of the season against Mabel-Canton last Wednesday.
