Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Volleyball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Fans' choice for top performer

Jordan Stalpes, Champlin Park. The senior outside hitter has played a big role in helping Champlin Park (10-6, 6-0) enter the week on a five-match winning streak and in keeping the Rebels undefeated in Northwest Suburban Conference play this season. Stalpes guided No. 9-3A Champlin Park with 13 kills, 11 digs and two service aces in a 3-0 rout of league foe Osseo last Tuesday.

Top performer candidates

Olivia Johnson, Wayzata. In the Trojans’ 3-0 defeat of Lake Conference rival Eden Prairie last Thursday, Johnson registered 48 set assists. The 5-foot-10 senior began this week with 615 set assists this season, good for second in the state based on stats submitted to the MN Volleyball Hub. Johnson has helped Wayzata (18-2, 5-0), ranked No. 3 in the Class 3A coaches’ poll from Oct. 7, to nine wins in its last 10 matches.

Cianna Selbitschka, North Branch. The senior outside hitter provided No. 2-2A North Branch (20-1, 7-0) with plenty of ammunition to win with a pair of standout performances on back-to-back nights. On Sept. 30, she blasted 22 kills past Andover in the Vikings’ 3-1 win, and she followed that with another 22-kill performance the next day in a straight-set triumph over Elk River. She also compiled 46 total digs in the victories.

Sophia Andersen, New Prague. Anderson, a 5-foot-11 outside hitter, continued her historic season for New Prague (15-6, 2-1) with 22 kills and eight digs in a straight-set victory over Bloomington Jefferson on Oct. 1. Anderson, who holds her school’s record for kills with more 1,600 in her career, is No. 2 in the state with 380 this season.

Brooke Weichbrodt, Concordia Academy. Weichbrodt, a junior setter, was vital with 34 set assists and 10 digs in Concordia Academy’s 3-0 takedown of New Life Academy on Oct. 1. Weichbrodt, who has 532 set assists this season, has helped elevate the Beacons (16-3, 6-0) to the No. 5 ranking in Class 2A.
