Olivia Johnson, Wayzata. Johnson, a 5-foot-10 senior, registered 51 set assists in the No. 3-3A Trojans' 3-2 defeat of St. Michael-Albertville on Sept. 17. Johnson leads Wayzata (15-2, 2-0) and is No. 3 in the state with 416 set assists this season, according to stats submitted to the MN Volleyball Hub.
Lydia Larson, Willmar. The sophomore setter has paced Willmar (8-4, 4-2) with 396 set assists this season; 72 of which came in two matches last week. Forty-one came in the Cardinals' three-set victory over Fergus Falls last Thursday.
Marlee Turn, Kittson County Central. The senior helped guide the Bearcats, who are ranked No. 7 in the Class 1A coaches' poll, to a 5-2 record last week with 119 total kills. Her best performance came on Sept. 17, when she had 22 kills in Kittson County Central's (19-2, 3-0) straight-sets sweep of Stephen-Argyle. Turn leads the state with 335 kills this season.
Else Kunze-Hoeg, Mounds Park Academy. The 5-foot-10 eighth-grader has 343 set assists for Mounds Park Academy (9-2, 4-0) this season. Hoeg had 37 of them in a 3-0 victory over Providence Academy on Sept. 17.
Tayler Kittelson, Lac qui Parle Valley. A sophomore, Kittelson racked up 32 set assists in Lac qui Parle Valley's 3-1 defeat of Yellow Medicine East on Sept. 17. She followed that performance two days later with 31 more set assists in the Eagles' (8-10, 1-5) 3-0 loss to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.
