We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Centennial vs. Champlin Park, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19. The records make this look like Centennial's game to win. But this battle of Northwest Suburban Conference teams that are both unbeaten in league play will be no simple task for the Cougars (8-2, 3-0); each of the six losses for Champlin Park (6-6, 2-0) have come against ranked teams.

White Bear Lake vs. East Ridge, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19. White Bear Lake (6-4, 0-1) started the season fast but enters the week having lost three of its last four games. It won't be easy for the Bears to stop the skid against No. 7-3A East Ridge (7-2, 1-0).
