Top games: Lakeville South's red-hot rivalry against Lakeville North continues in possible section preview

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.






Other games to keep an eye on

Bloomington Jefferson vs. Eden Prairie, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10. Bloomington Jefferson (9-4, 1-0) handed Eden Prairie (8-1, 1-0) its lone loss of the season on Aug. 31. The Eagles, who won just seven games last season, already have eight victories this year, including a five-set victory over No. 2-3A Lakeville South on Sept. 3.

Kenyon-Wanamingo vs. Kasson-Mantorville, 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10. No. 1-1A Kenyon-Wanamingo (3-0, 1-0) collides with No. 5-2A Kasson-Mantorville (6-2, 1-0) in a clash between two of southeastern Minnesota’s powerhouse volleyball programs. The last time these Hiawatha Valley League rivals met, the KoMets won 3-1 last fall.
