Ally Peterson had 18 digs and 17 kills to lead Kenyon-Wanamingo over Caledonia 25-22, 25-12, 25-21 in the Breakdown Side Out Classic at Edina High School on Aug. 24.

Fellow senior Julianna Boyum added 12 kills and six block assists for the Knights (1-0, 0-0), ranked No. 1 in Class 1A coaches' poll.

Madi Luebke and Riley Dummer combined for 39 set assists for Kenyon-Wanamingo in the team's season opener, while Luebke, along with Megan Mattson and Kaia Johnson drove the defense, registering 35 digs in the match.
