BOLD vs. Sauk Centre

6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19

Regardless of what happens in its two games this week, Sauk Centre will finish the regular season with one of the best records in the state.

Wayzata, unbeaten in 27 games this season, is at the very top of the list. But the Mainstreeters, No. 10 in Class 2A, enter this week with just one loss in 26 games. Breckenridge, with one tie in 21 games, is the only other unbeaten in the state and no other team has fewer than two losses.

It will be a tough task for Sauk Centre, with games against No. 6-2A Pequot Lakes on Monday and West Central Conference foe BOLD (13-3, 8-1) on Tuesday, to finish the season with just one loss. But a victory Tuesday against BOLD leaves the Mainstreeters undefeated in 12 conference games.
