The suspense was building as Tuesday’s match between Cretin-Derham Hall and Mounds View went on. Every time Cretin-Derham Hall senior libero Mia Scanlan tallied a dig, it sent the Raider faithful into an uproar. 

In the third set, Scanlan recorded her 1,000th career dig. She shared a moment with her team and looked into the crowd to see balloons forming the number 1,000.

“It means the world to see people I have classes with come and support me is amazing; I loved it,” Scanlan said. “It made my year.”
