Four Class 1A, Section 1 teams are ranked in the Class 1A coaches' poll.
In the west, Hayfield (19-5) is the No. 1 seed. The No. 4-1A Vikings comes into postseason play winning six of their past seven matches.
Right behind Hayfield is No. 2 seed Bethlehem Academy (11-11). The No. 5-1A Cardinals come into the postseason winning their past three matches, including a victory against No. 1-2A Maple Lake.
Medford (15-8) is the No. 3 seed, followed by Grand Meadow (19-7) as the No. 4 seed.
In the east, Caledonia (16-4) comes in as the No. 1 seed. The No. 7-1A Warriors are the defending section champions and are looking to make the state tournament for the third time in school history.
Mabel-Canton (25-3) is another top-10 team playing in the section. The No. 10-1A Cougars won the Southeastern Conference championship with a perfect 17-0 record.
Fillmore Central (17-5) will look to supplant Caledonia, despite the Falcons' loss to the top seed earlier this season.
Spring Grove (14-5) comes in as the No. 4 seed.
