Wadena-Deer Creek vs. Dilworth-Glydon-Felton
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5

This rematch of last year's Class 2A, Section 8 final won't be a possible playoff preview this fall, though that doesn't disregard it as a great match. Dilworth-Glydon-Felton beat Wadena-Deer Creek in last year's final, but the Wolverines moved into Class 1A, Section 6 this fall.

Wadena-Deer Creek (2-0) dropped just one set in winning its first two matches last week over Pequot Lakes (3-1) and Perham (3-0). Against the Hornets, senior Casey Volkmann had 20 kills while Ellie Miron finished with nine. They're expected to be the top two offensive options for coach Sue Volkmann and the No. 8-1A Wolverines. Casey added a team-best 15 digs, while Ashley Adams recorded 32 set assists.

Dilworth-Glydon-Felton opened with a four-set home victory over Detroit Lakes last Tuesday. Sofia Reno led the way for the Rebels (1-0) with 25 set assists, while Jocelyn Dubbels had five service aces.
