Kasson-Mantorville (1-1) rebounded from a season-opening loss to Rochester Century with a straight-set win over Minnewaska.

The No. 8-2A KoMets have enjoyed a run of success against rival Cannon Falls, having beaten the Bombers in Hiawatha Valley League action and Section 1 play the past five seasons. 

Cannon Falls kicked off the season with a five-set win over Albany as defensive specialist Molly Bowen recorded a team-high 12 kills. The Bombers (1-1) then recorded a four-set loss to Rochester John Marshall.
