Stewartville at Bethlehem Academy
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 6

Stewartville dropped its first two matches of the season to a pair of Rochester schools (John Marshall and Mayo), and the No. 4-2A Tigers try to end the skid Tuesday in Faribault against No. 1-1A Bethlehem Academy.

Only three of the 14 girls on Stewartville's roster are seniors, so a win over a highly rated opponent such as Cardinals could give the Tigers’ young lineup a boost of confidence before entering Hiawatha Valley League play.

After being swept in straight sets by Class 3A Lakeville North, Bethlehem Academy (1-1) rebounded with a four-set win over Marshall. The Cardinals look to keep building momentum behind the play of Payton Nutter, who led the team with 15 kills in the loss to the Panthers.
