Jordan at Mayer Lutheran
7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8

Mayer Lutheran is coming off a Class 1A state tournament appearance, and the Crusaders certainly haven’t rested on their laurels.

No. 3-1A Mayer Lutheran (13-6, 3-2) played a brutal schedule, with losses to No. 1-2A Belle Plaine, No. 6-1A Wabasha-Kellogg and No. 1-1A Bethlehem Academy.

The Crusaders are third in the Minnesota River Conference standings and could play spoiler by defeating Jordan.

The No. 8-2A Jaguars (13-7, 4-1) have history on their side as they try to remain in second place in the league standings. They have not lost a match to the Mayer Lutheran since Sept. 6, 2012.
