St. Croix Lutheran at Concordia Academy
6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7

The two top teams in the Tri-Metro Conference and Section 4AA collide Tuesday in Roseville, when No. 9-2A St. Croix Lutheran visits No. 5-2A Concordia Academy.

The Crusaders are one match up on the Beacons heading into the final week of the regular season, as Concordia lost its conference opener in five sets to Visitation in late August.

St. Croix Lutheran also won the head-to-head matchup Sept. 20 at the Class 2A Showcase in Burnsville, although it went a full three sets.

It doesn’t appear much is separating these teams.

St. Croix Lutheran has reloaded after graduating an accomplished senior class, the effort anchored by senior libero Kelsey Kowitz and sophomore setter Lauryn Sobasky. Concordia Academy has a young, rising team propelled by junior setter Elisabeth Tramm and sophomore outside hitter Erin Fallert.
