Class 3A

For the first time this season, a team besides Eagan is No. 1 in the Class 3A poll. Lakeville North moves into the top spot after sitting at No. 2 in last week's poll. The Panthers picked up two wins this past week, including a four-set win on the road at No. 7 Prior Lake.

The Wildcats move down to the No. 2 spot after falling to No. 5 Lakeville South in five sets this past week. Eagan rebounded with a five-set win against Rosemount.

The Cougars are this week’s biggest mover in the Class 3A poll. Lakeville South jumped three spots after defeating the previously-top ranked Wildcats and took down conference foe Eastview in five sets.

Class 2A

There are plenty of familiar names at the top of this week’s Class 2A poll. Maple Lake and Stewartville hold onto the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively. Both teams went 2-0 this past week, with the Irish defeating Sauk Rapids-Rice (3-0) and Pierz (3-0), and the Tigers beating Goodhue (3-0) and Triton (3-0).

Concordia moved into the top five after previously being ranked seventh. The Beacons picked up wins against Brooklyn Center (3-0) and DeLaSalle (3-1) this past week. Concordia will take on Columbia Heights on Tuesday and play in the Class AA Showcase Tournament in Apple Valley this weekend.

St. Cloud Cathedral makes the biggest jump in this week's poll. The Crusaders were receiving votes in the Sept. 11 poll, but a 3-0 week, which included wins against Annandale, Albany and Foley, put St. Cloud Cathedral into the No. 10 spot. They are the only newcomer into any of this week’s state volleyball rankings.

Class 1A

This week’s Class 1A poll features many of the same teams from previous polls. However, there is plenty of movement.

While Mayer Lutheran is No. 1 again this week, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton jumps into the No. 2 spot after being ranked fourth a week ago. The Panthers were 2-0 this past week, including a signature win over No. 8 Minneota in four sets.

Caledonia fell two spots to No. 5 this week with the Warriors losing to unranked Norwood Young-America and Wabasha-Kellogg last weekned. Caledonia will look to rebound on Thursday when the Warriors take on La Crescent.
