LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- Second-ranked Lakeville North jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening set and never looked back, posting a 25-17, 25-12, 25-13 win over Burnsville in just 54 minutes.

Amanada Burger served the Panthers to the early lead in the first set, getting three kills from both Kennedy Brady, who also had three block assists, and Elizabeth Juhnke.

The Blaze scored the first point of the second set but it would be the only time they would lead on the evening at North put on another 6-0 run, with three points coming on serving aces by Juhnke, to regain the lead for good.

The third set saw North jump out to an early lead but the Panthers were unable to shake their guests until late in the set.

After Burnsville closed to within five points, at 16-11, the Panthers finished the match on a 9-2 run, with Macy Winter serving the final five points and her dig on match point allowed Amelia Wherland to finish the match with a tip kill.

North hit .397 on the night, with 32 kills and just five errors. Brady's 11 kills and .769 hitting percentage pace the hosts while Juhnke had nine kils and Winter had five without an error for a .625 percentage.

Juhnke also had five aces and Halle Wolfe three as North recorded a season-high 14 on the night.

The Panthers continue South Suburban Conference play, Thursday, when they travel to fifth-ranked Prior Lake for a 7 p.m. match.
