Alyssa Goehner

Best volleyball memory: Winning the 17 Open USAV Volleyball Championship in Columbus, Ohio

What you’ve always wanted to do: Beat Tyus Jones one-on-one.

Personal philosophy: “Good things don’t come to those who wait. Good things come to those who pursue the goals and dreams they believe in.”

Taylr McNeil

Best volleyball memory: Winning the state championship with my sister Kellie and coach Milan Mader in 2010 and the chance to win state this year with my sister Maddie.

What you’ve always wanted to do: Win the NCAA volleyball championship with my sisters at the University of South Carolina and go skydiving with Lydia Dimke.

Personal philosophy: My late Grandpa John constantly reminded me to look to God and “keep looking up” since I was a little girl.

Samantha Seliger Swenson

Best volleyball memory: Winning the gold medal at the world tournament in Italy with my club team last spring. We were the first American team to ever win the tournament.

What you’ve always wanted to do: Meet Tom Brady

Personal philosophy: “Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become and the hours of practice and coaches who have pushed you is the little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back. Play for her.”

Lydia Dimke

Best volleyball memory: Beating Centennial my sophomore year in the section finals. We lost the first two games and fell down 11-2 in the first game before we pulled ourselves together.

What you’ve always wanted to do: Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef and skydive with my dad and Taylr McNeil.

Personal philosophy: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. Submit to him and he will make your path clear.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

Mackenzie Horkey

Best volleyball memory: Beating Mayer Lutheran in the section finals last year. It was a great weight lifted off my shoulders; as soon as the ball hit the floor I knew we were going to state.

What you’ve always wanted to do: Visit Australia

Personal philosophy: “If you believe it, you can achieve it.”

Shelby Seurer

Best volleyball memory: Beating Chaska in the section finals last Saturday night. We beat them in five sets and the whole match was a battle. The match point was the best feeling of my life.

What you’ve always wanted to do: Get tattoos with my mom and my two sisters and skydive at some point in my life.

Personal philosophy: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. This is super-special to me.
