Quick Q&A

Matthew Radke

Hastings, So.

Golf

Radke has been eagerly waiting for the boys’ golf season to get underway. He was the Raiders goaltender in hockey during the winter months. Here is a closer look at Radke:

The best movie I’ve seen in the past year: “Act Of Valor.”

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Laid-back; composed; outgoing.

What are your three favorite apps? Clash of Clans; Twitter; Snapchat.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? I like to follow Fascinating Pictures because the pictures they post are very cool and they make me want to go on vacation.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … very focused. For my first varsity practice in hockey I was proud and I felt like I accomplished something.

What did you work on most in the offseason? Becoming an all-around better athlete by working out and improving my cardio.

What is your No. 1 goal for the upcoming season? To help my golf team make it to the Minnesota state tournament.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? When I won the Suburban East Conference for golf in ninth grade.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? I would change when the golf season takes place. Instead of golf season in the spring, I would make it in the fall.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? The New York Rangers because Derek Stepan, who is from Hastings, plays on the team.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … involved in the criminal justice system.
