St. Cloud Cathedral at Albany
7:15 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12

With a victory at Albany Thursday night, St. Cloud Cathedral will wrap up the Granite Ridge Conference title. The No. 6-2A Crusaders have won 14 matches in a row since their only loss, a 3-0 defeat at No. 1-2A Maple Lake on Sept. 5.

St. Cloud Cathedral leads the Granite Ridge and could sweep to an unbeaten conference title with another victory. Junior libero Abbey Medelberg is the league's defending defensive MVP and makes it tough for opponents to get the ball down against the Crusaders (18-1, 10-0).

Albany sits in second place in the conference standings, with its only loss a 3-1 defeat at St. Cloud Cathedral on Sept. 12. The Huskies (17-8, 6-1) are the only team that can still catch the Crusaders, but it’ll take a victory Thursday night. In the teams’ first meeting of the season, Huskies seniors Maleah Wohletz and Courtney Buerman combined for 26 kills, while Paige Meyer had 25 set assists. Wohletz also had a team-best 11 digs.
