Eagan at Lakeville South
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12

Eagan received all nine first-place votes in the latest Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association poll, continuing its stranglehold on Class 3A. The Wildcats (8-0) swept four matches over the weekend to win the title at the Shakopee Tournament and don’t look like they’re slowing down. The Wildcats did have tough matches at Stillwater and East Ridge earlier last week, but won both in five sets.

Lakeville South lost its first match of the year in the final of the Southwest Minnesota Challenge in Marshall, falling in straight sets to crosstown rival Lakeville North. The setter-hitter connection of Syd Case to Jasmine Mulvihill continued to work its magic, with Case recording 16 set assists and Mulvihill leading the team with eight kills for the No. 8-3A Cougars (7-1). Case has already racked up 183 set assists and 11 service aces, while Mulvihill has 89 kills.
