Jordan at Belle Plaine
7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18

A slow start to the year has not deterred Jordan from a strong finish, as the Jaguars have dropped just one set while winning their last three matches.

All three victories came in the Apple Valley Tournament, where the Jaguars defeated Burnsville [twice] and Zumbrota-Mazeppa. Jordan (9-11, 6-4) looks to ride the momentum and record a repeat of last year's five-set victory over Belle Plaine when the teams meet in a Minnesota River Conference game on Tuesday.

To avoid defeat in a second straight season, Belle Plaine (14-3, 6-0) will rely on the offensive firepower of senior outside hitters Mariena Hayden (280 kills) and Taylor Kruger (140 kills).

The No. 4-2A Tigers also benefit from the superior setting skills of senior setter Danielle Taylor (461 assists), giving them the edge in this matchup with Class 2A, Section 2 postseason implications.
