Cretin-Derham Hall at East Ridge
7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18

Cretin-Derham Hall will get a second shot at Suburban East Conference rival East Ridge on Tuesday after the Raptors defeated the Raiders in two sets at the Lakeville North Bachman Invite last weekend.

The tourney was not kind to the No. 10-3A Raiders, as their 15-match win streak was snapped with a loss to host Lakeville North coming just before the defeat to the Raptors.

However, Cretin-Derham Hall (18-3, 7-1) has the weapons, starting with senior Brynn Carlson (344 kills), and the motivation to defeat East Ridge this go-round. With a victory Tuesday, the Raiders will claim conference crown.

The Raptors (20-9, 6-2) can complete the season sweep and possibly deny the Raiders an outright league title behind the duo of high-powered outside hitters: senior Allie Barber (369 kills) and sophomore Kate Reimann (226 kills). Reimann had eight kills in the Raptors’ win over the Raiders on Oct. 15.
