Mayer Lutheran at Jordan
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29

Mayer Lutheran moved up from No. 4 to No. 2 in the Class 1A rankings after an impressive performance in the Class 1A Showcase tourney.

The Crusaders (15-1-1, 1-1) pulled off straight-set wins over ranked teams in No. 8-1A Kittson County Central, No. 6-1A Minneota and No. 3-1A Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and will look to ride that momentum into their matchup with Jordan.

The Jaguars are in the midst of a slump, having lost three of its last four matches. Jordan (4-7, 4-1) will have to battle back from their losing slide while battling the ghosts of last season's five set loss to the Crusaders.
