Centennial at Champlin Park
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29

With Champlin Park leading the Northwest Suburban Conference with a spotless 5-0 league record, Centennial (7-4, 3-1) can play spoiler in this Thursday night matchup.

The Cougars lost to the Rebels in five sets a season ago despite getting a team-high 15 kills from outside hitter Olivia Jensen. The senior, who has 80 kills already this season, must have another excellent game if Centennial is going to pull off the upset.

Champlin Park has not lost a set since falling to No. 10-3A Lakeville North in the Marshall tournament on Sept. 10, rattling off an impressive six consecutive wins.

Senior outside hitter Sydney Hilley (209 kills) and sophomore setter Izzy Ashburn (422 assists) lead the No. 2-3A Rebels (12-1, 5-0) and are among the state's most devastating duos. Neutralizing them must be the focus for the Cougars defense.
