Waconia at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27

Waconia's 3-0 mark in the Southwest Minnesota Challenge not only secured the Wildcats the tournament title but also extended their winning streak to seven matches, a run that includes a straight-set win over No. 1-1A Bethlehem Academy on Sept. 13.

Senior setter Taylor Wolf is Waconia's do-it-all player, leading the team in kills (123) and assists (175). Kalista Jager is another offensive weapon for the Wildcats (11-2, 1-0), handing out 162 assists.

A disappointing five-set loss to Metro East Conference rival Hastings gives Mahtomedi (7-5-1, 3-1) four losses in five games, and the Zephyrs must rally this week to avoid falling to .500 or lower.

Mahtomedi's offense is led by sophomore Kyndra Hansen (71 kills) while senior Julia Pilla guides the defense with 64 digs.
