Mahtomedi at South St. Paul
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15

After winning its first two matches of the season, Mahtomedi fell to Metro East Conference rival Hill-Murray in straight sets on Sept. 8.

The Zephyrs (2-1, 0-1) look to even their league mark with a match at South St. Paul on Thursday.

A good start against the Packers is imperative for Mahtomedi, which has been outscored 51-29 in the first set this season.

South St. Paul (1-1, 0-1) has already equaled last year's win total and will take another step forward with a victory over their league foe. However, it may not be so easy for the Packers, who not only face a deep Zephyrs squad, but history as well. South St. Paul has won just six sets in eight matches with Mahtomedi since 2011.
