Champlin Park at Centennial
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29

Champlin Park hasn’t dropped a set and won four straight matches since losing back-to-back games to No. 2-3A Prior Lake and No. 7-3A Wayzata.

Junior setter/outside hitter and Wisconsin commit Sydney Hilley has been nothing short of spectacular, racking up 171 kills and a .393 kill percentage this season. Senior outside hitter Jenae Alderson (135 kills) and freshman setter Izzy Ashburn (217 assists) add more offensive firepower to the balanced lineup for the No. 6-3A Rebels (10-2, 6-0)

Two of Centennial’s four losses have come against No. 5-1A Heritage Christian and No. 13-3A Cretin-Derham Hall, and the Cougars (7-4, 4-2) are now jostling with several teams for second place in the Northwest Suburban Conference. A win over conference-leading Champlin Park would go a long way to improving Centennial’s league standing.

Keep an eye on junior outside hitter Olivia Jensen and junior libero Jeni Farmerie, who were both Northwest Suburban all-conference selections last season.
