No. 3-1A Heritage Christian has a chance to dominate at the net this season, with four players listed at 5-foot-10 or taller. Senior and 6-1 outside hitter Jenay Fuglestad (326 kills, 113 digs) was named all-state honorable mention, while 6-2 junior middle hitter Bella Lien (295 kills) set the school single-season record with 95 blocks last year. 

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, tied at No. 8 in the Class 1A rankings, was tough defensively last season, and the Jaguars look to continue the trend this year. Senior libero Karlee Kern (389 digs) and junior setter/libero Hailey Braegelman (332 digs) continuously frustrate opposing hitters. Senior middle hitter Ashley Trustheim (177 kills) provides a dangerous spike on offense.
