Stewartville at Kenyon-Wanamingo

Can anyone knock off No. 1-2A Stewartville?

Coach John Dzubay’s Tigers are a perfect 10-0 in the Hiawatha Valley League, while both Kenyon-Wanamingo and No. 2-2A Kasson-Mantorville are one match back at 9-1.

The Knights lost to KoMets on Sept. 30 for their only conference loss while Kasson-Mantorville fell to Stewartville on Sept. 9 for its only loss in the circuit.

It could be a three-way tie for first should the Knights pull the upset Tuesday night at home. If they do, expect it to come with a touch of Quam. Senior right-side hitter Megan Quam was an All-Conference pick a year ago, finishing with one more kill than sophomore outside hitter Mara Quam. Junior Siri Quam is a setter for the Knights.

Stewartville’s strong junior class is led by right-side hitter Karissa Kime and middle Jenna Willenborg.
