New Life Academy at Heritage Christian Academy
7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14

This match should be for the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association (MCAA) title, as both teams are unbeaten in the league entering the final week of the regular season.

New Life Academy, No. 4-1A, hasn’t lost since August, winning or tying (in the case of tournament play) its last 22 matches (20-0-2) and only dropping seven individual sets in that time.

Heritage Christian isn’t ranked in the Class 1A’s Top 10 but has the ability to knock off just about anyone. The Eagles have victories over perennially strong Class 1A powers such as Southwest Christian and Nevis and solid large-school programs such as Monticello and Cretin-Derham Hall.

The two programs feature some of the top juniors in the state in Heritage Christian’s outside hitter Jenay Fuglestad and New Life Academy’s trio of Abby Gorter, Kara Stenerson and Abby Thor.
