Fillmore Central at Chatfield
7:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25

The Three Rivers Conference title could be at stake on Thursday in Chatfield when the Gophers host Fillmore Central, No. 8 in Class 1A. Both teams are undefeated in league play entering the showdown. Chatfield has adjusted well to the graduation of libero Alexandra Duxbury, who was the Gophers' defensive anchor the past few years. Despite Duxbury's loss, the Gophers have plenty of returning talent, including All-Conference senior outside hitter Kirsten Keefe and junior setter Sheridan Salisbury.

Fillmore Central advanced into the Gold bracket of the Class A Showcase in Burnsville last weekend, where the Falcons defeated Mayer Lutheran in the quarterfinals. New Life Academy, No. 7-1A , and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, No. 3-1A, swept Fillmore Central in the Falcons' next two tournament matches.

Fillmore Central graduated its key player from last year, hitter Taylor Case, but returned others such as setter Morgan Malley and middle Leah Scheevel.
