Chanhassen finally picked up its first non-tournament victory of the season last week, winning at Buffalo in a 3-0 sweep. Don’t let the Storm’s 3-5 record fool you into thinking they aren’t a good team. Any team that features powerful outside hitters Danielle Gitzen and Anna Zahn and Concordia-St. Paul bound libero Taylor Soinen is going to give opponents fits. The Storm played top-ranked Eagan to a five-set loss earlier this year and may do the same with No. 2-3A Eden Prairie. The Eagles have yet to drop a set in seven matches this fall, including a sweep of their home Pudas Invitational on Aug. 30 and an impressive 3-0 victory over No. 7-3A Lakeville South.
